Arnett graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a major in Animal Husbandry.  Following military service, he served as beef cattle herdsman for Eisenhower Angus Farm, Gettysburg, PA.  Angus cattle from this firm, owned by former President, Dwight D. Eisenhower won honors at several major livestock shows.

He attended Superior Auction School, Decatur, Illinois in 1962.  He has conducted various kinds of Auctions in several states and Canada.  He conducted his own Auction and sale management company in Lexington, KY marketing registered cattle and horses.  He has been involved in real estate marketing both, by private treaty and Auction for 15 years.
